Tata Punch Motors is preparing to launch the Tata Punch Facelift in 2025, giving its bestselling micro-SUV a stylish and feature-rich update. Since its debut, the Punch has been one of the top-selling compact SUVs in India, thanks to its high ground clearance, city-friendly dimensions, and affordable pricing. With the facelift, Tata aims to keep the Punch fresh against growing competition from Hyundai Exter and Maruti Fronx by adding visual enhancements, more tech, and better safety equipment.
Refreshed Exterior Styling With LED Lighting and New Grille Design
The Tata Punch Facelift 2025 will feature cosmetic updates inspired by Tata’s latest SUV design language. Expect a new front grille, redesigned LED DRLs, projector headlamps, and updated bumpers with sportier detailing. The side profile will remain similar but may get new alloy wheels and dual-tone paint options. The rear could also see mild tweaks with revised tail lamps and a sportier tailgate finish, giving the Punch a more aggressive and modern presence.
Updated Cabin With Larger Infotainment and Premium Touches
Inside, the facelifted Punch will offer improvements in both aesthetics and equipment. Tata is likely to introduce a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. The dashboard layout may be refined with soft-touch materials and new color accents. Features like automatic climate control, rear AC vents, a premium sound system, and voice commands may be introduced in higher variants for a more premium feel.
Same Reliable Petrol Engine With Possibility of CNG and EV Options
Under the hood, the Punch Facelift will continue with the proven 1.2L Revotron petrol engine, producing around 86 PS and 113 Nm, paired with a 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox. Tata may also introduce a CNG variant with dual-cylinder boot setup in the facelift, offering higher mileage and practicality. While the Punch EV is being developed separately, the facelifted ICE model will focus on delivering improved fuel efficiency and a refined drive.
Stronger Safety Package With 6 Airbags and Electronic Stability Control
Safety will be a key focus area in the Punch facelift, with Tata expected to offer 6 airbags, electronic stability program (ESP), traction control, hill-hold assist, and reverse camera with dynamic guidelines in top variants. Built on the 5-star Global NCAP-rated ALFA platform, the Punch will continue to provide high structural integrity and crash protection. ISOFIX mounts and rear seatbelt reminders will be standard across all variants.
Launch Timeline and Expected Price in India
The Tata Punch Facelift is expected to launch in India by early 2025, possibly around Auto Expo or during the festive season. The expected ex-showroom price could start from ₹6.5 lakh for the base variant, going up to ₹10 lakh for the fully loaded version. It will compete directly with Hyundai Exter, Citroen C3, and the Maruti Fronx base trims, offering strong value with its refreshed design and new-age features.
Tata Punch Facelift Aims to Stay Ahead With a Premium Edge
With its updated looks, larger infotainment system, expanded feature list, and enhanced safety, the Tata Punch Facelift 2025 is poised to remain a top choice for budget-conscious SUV buyers in urban India. It brings the ideal balance of compact size, rugged styling, and practicality now with a fresh face and smarter technology for the next generation.
