Maruti Celerio 2025 Launched in India with Up to 26.68 km/l Mileage, Smart Features & Fresh Design

Maruti Suzuki has launched the updated Celerio 2025 in India, bringing a refreshing look, improved mileage, and smart technology to one of the country’s most fuel-efficient hatchbacks. The new model retains its compact, city-friendly form factor but now looks more youthful and dynamic with its smooth body lines, sporty front grille, and dual-tone bumper. Chrome accents and redesigned headlamps add a touch of modern styling, while the alloy wheels and blacked-out elements (in higher variants) enhance the sporty look. The Celerio is available in vibrant color options like Speedy Blue, Fire Red, and Silky Silver, appealing to first-time car buyers and young urban drivers.

Efficient Engine with Petrol & CNG Options

Under the hood, the 2025 Celerio is powered by Maruti’s tried-and-tested 1.0L K-Series Dual Jet, Dual VVT petrol engine, which now delivers improved mileage and smoother driveability. This engine produces 66 bhp and 89 Nm of torque and is available with both a 5-speed manual transmission and an AMT gearbox. The petrol variant offers an ARAI-certified mileage of 25.24 km/l, while the CNG version goes up to an impressive 26.68 km/kg, making it one of the most fuel-efficient cars in India. The car feels light to drive in traffic and remains stable at highway speeds, offering the perfect balance for city and occasional long drives.

Feature-Rich Cabin with SmartTech

Inside, the Celerio features a spacious and practical layout with dual-tone interiors, ample headroom, and improved ergonomics. The dashboard now includes a 7-inch SmartPlay infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, steering-mounted controls, and voice command functions. The instrument cluster is semi-digital and easy to read. Other notable features include engine push start-stop button, keyless entry, rear parking sensors, power windows, electrically adjustable ORVMs, and manual air conditioning. While basic in some lower trims, the top-spec variants offer plenty of comfort and utility for daily use.

Safety & Price in India

Maruti has equipped the new Celerio with essential safety features such as dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, hill hold assist (AMT only), rear defogger, and seatbelt reminder. The car is built on the Heartect platform which provides structural rigidity and crash protection.

The Maruti Celerio 2025 is priced between ₹5.37 lakh and ₹7.14 lakh (ex-showroom), depending on the variant and fuel type. It competes with Hyundai Santro, Tata Tiago, and Renault Kwid, but stands out with its exceptional mileage, trusted Maruti network, and low cost of ownership.
